Organizations, Groups, and Businesses participating in the Coalition will be called Coalition Partners. Coalition Partners are not members and therefore do not alone have voting rights or other benefits of membership. Coalition partners may, for no additional fee, identify in writing one individual to represent them as a member. That individual's level of membership will be determined the same as all other members. The minimum qualifications to be a Partner may include:
Demonstrate commitment to our mission and vision.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize grassroots supporters.
A minimum of at least one employee/member who can devote time to Coalition activities, including participation in planned conference calls and Coalition meetings.
Commitment to advance Coalition priorities and an agreement that the Partner will share all relevant information it has about Coalition priorities and will not work to undermine any of the Coalition priorities.
Organizations interested in joining the Coalition will submit the following materials to the Coordinator at rockcentercoalition@gmail.com to be used as part of the membership screening process:
A brief statement explaining the organization’s purpose, goals, and activities, and how the group’s participation will further the mission and vision of the Coalition;
A copy of the organization’s legal business or organizational structure (i.e., nonprofit letters, state business registration, etc.); and
Any other material requested by the Steering Committee
Following initial screening by the Coordinator, the Steering Committee will review each application. Admission as a Coalition Member requires the approval of at least two-thirds of the total Steering Committee Members.
